AVID Elementary- "Career Day"@ Newhope

Newhope is implementing AVID Elementary schoolwide for students in grades TK- 6 beginning with developing the growth mindset that "We CAN do hard things" and organizing ourselves for school with time management skills and more. On April 21, 2023, the Newhope student council hosted our Career Day with our local fire department and 15 professionals ranging from community members, alumni, parents, and friends to share information about their careers, educational journey, training, and what skills one's need to be successful in their field. Students left with goals and inspiration about what life may look like after graduation. #GGUSDAVID #AVID4possibility #GGUSDgoal3.
